SUMMARY

In monograph “Culturology as a way to effective life activity” actual problems of culture and culturological development are considered, right understanding and solution of which, by the scheme of the author, opens the way to the comprehension of truth, achievement of stable human development and growth of people’s life quality, increase of international affairs’ culture, harmonization of cultures and civilizations in the West and in the East.
The author suggests to readers’ attention various knowledge about spiritual and material culture, which was systematized by him on the basis of careful study of world culturological thought and creative comprehension of scientific concepts and achievements of known scientists - Culturologists, anthropologists, historians, philosophers, sociologists and other specialists. Together with it he presents his own scientific groundwork – culture and culturological ideas, formulas and concepts. Among them – “the formula of culture efficiency”, the idea of “culturological pyramid”, “the formula of a cultural person”, “the formula of production effectiveness”, “the formula of management effectiveness”, “the formula of happiness”, culturological methodology and practical recommendations of the author, which are aimed at the assistance of individual’s spiritual improvement, preparation of individuals and leaders, the formation of right social – culture policy, modernization and stable development of the state. Approaches of the author to principles and tasks of democratic management culture, international social – culture policy international culturological education, periodisation of historical culture in Azerbaijan, etc. can be of practical interest to specialists.
The work also contains separate articles and speeches of the author, including reports, which were made in international congresses, conferences and seminars, which took place in Azerbaijan, Russia, Norway and France. Actual problems of world culture and culturological history, cultural policy, peace culture and management culture, questions, connected with the realization of culture reforms and development of culturological education, democratization and modernization of culture in the Azerbaijan Republic.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Fuad Teyyub Mammadov is a culturologist, doctor of science, professor of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, academician of the Russian Academy of Pedagogical and Social Sciences and the International Academy of Sciences “Problems of Intellectual Development”, winner of “Humay” National public prize.
He was born on the 28th of October, 1946, in Baku. In 1986 he defended his first thesis on science history in Azerbaijan. In 1989 he was the first in the Republic who began special researches in the sphere of culturology. On the basis of culturological concept, developed by him, in April 1990 the first polybranched nongovernmental organization of culture – “Simurg” Association of culture of Azerbaijan was created in Baku.
He is the author of more than two hundred scientific and scientifically-educational works on history and science and culture theory, including several monographs, the editor of a number culturological collections, scientific concepts and projects, aimed at assistance to cultural reforms and social-cultural progress in Azerbaijan.
He had speeches with scientific papers and notifications on problems of history and theory of culture and science in Azerbaijan, Russia, Germany, Romania, Georgia, Greece, Egypt, Turkey, Costa Rica, the USA, Norway, Thailand, France, Korea and Hungary.
